Can I take alcohol/soft drinks on a cruise ship? By CRUISE LINE

One of the most popular questions we get asked is 'can you take alcohol/soft-drinks onboard a cruise?' Some cruise lines are very generous with allowances some are not.

Ambassador

Alcohol allowance: None

Non-alcoholic allowance: None

Corkage fee: n/a


Carnival Cruises

Alcohol allowance: 1 x 750ml bottle of wine

Non-alcoholic allowance: Guests are prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages that are packaged in glass or plastic bottles. A maximum of 12 x 354ml or less cans/cartons can be taken onboard.

Corkage fee: Should guests wish to consume their wine or champagne in the main dining room, specialty restaurant or bar, a $15.00 USD corkage fee, per 750-ml bottle, will be charged.


Celebrity Cruises

Alcohol allowance: 2 x 750ml bottles of wine

Non-alcoholic allowance: No limit

Corkage fee: A corkage fee may apple but not to guests with the Classic Beverage Package or Premium Beverage Package.


Cunard

Alcohol allowance: 1 x bottle of wine or champagne

Non-alcoholic allowance: No limit

Corkage fee: If consumed in restaurants or bars, each bottle of wine/champagne will be subjected to a $25 corkage fee.


Disney Cruise Line

Alcohol allowance: 2 x 750ml bottles of wine/champgane or 6 x 330ml beers

Non-alcoholic allowance: No limit

Corkage fee: Guests wishing to consume wine or champagne that they have brought on board in one of the dining rooms will be charged a corking fee of $26.00 per bottle.

Alcohol allowance: None

NCL

Alcohol allowance: Unlimited wine. Fee charged at embarkation $15 (750ml) or $30 (1.5l).

P&O Cruises

Alcohol allowance: 1 litre of wine, Champagne, beer, spirit or liqueur.

Non-alcoholic allowance: No limit

Corkage fee: If this alcohol is consumed in the dining rooms, bars, restaurants or lounge areas, it will be subject to a corkage fee of £20* per bottle, per occasion which will be charged to the guest’s on-board account.


Princess Cruises

Alcohol allowance: 1 x bottle of wine.

Non-alcoholic allowance: Any additional bottles will be charged a $15 corkage fee.

A maximum of 12 x 340ml or less cans/cartons can be taken onboard.

Corkage fee: n/a


Royal Caribbean

Alcohol allowance: 1 x 750ml bottle of wine or champagne

Non-alcoholic allowance: 12 x 483ml maximum cans, bottles or cartons per stateroom.
